Question:

Is my 'OhmyGod!dueSouthrules!' thing at all annoying? I'm not planning to cut back or anything, but I am curious.

I mean, it's all so new to me. How much it rules.

It's on a par with Buffy.

It has fascinating characters, witty writing, depth, some killer symbolism, and offers up some interesting philosophical ideas (Fraser as ego, Dief as id, Fraser Sr. as superego). It's amazing. Plus, the couple I like ends up together, which hasn't happened yet on Buffy (notice the hopefullness of the 'yet'). Fraser and Kowalski end up going on the big adventure together.

You are not annoying about it at all. I actually think it's cute. I think I would be that way too about a new show or anything like this. I mean, not everything has to involve Buffy or *NSync or stuff like that :)

Hmm. I agree. Plus, before Fraser came on the scene, the man was not the best cop. 41 unsolved murders on his desk. Then, after Fraser, the solve rate was like 98% or something? And Welsh seemed to like Kowalski better. I mean, I cannot see Vecchio sitting in Welsh's chair.

Somewhere in the Serge archives is a post by Yours Truly ranting about that very thing after yet another stupid blow-up (over something incredibly retarded like the ratio of V to K pics on the randomizer at Hexwood, IIRC). See, okay, I'm biased too. I've seen one Vecchio episode, um. Victoria's Secret -- wasn't that the name? Victoria. That broked my heart.

But I still didn't like him. *nods*

He sure as hell wasn't Callum. Guh.

I've seen VS, the pilot, and Some Like It Red (Drag!Fraser. And he makes a good woman. Not as pretty as Adina, but convincing. Looked like Lucy Lawless.). Well, and Call of the Wild but that was definitely a Kowalski episode.

But yeah, he's... okay. He's very macho Italian cop, from what I've read and seen. Protective and stuff. Treated Fraser like a kid brother (Benny!), which annoys me.

Oh, and thanks. I really wanted to have a due South icon and inspiration struck.
