butterflyI've been writing my thank-you notes to send to people who sent me birthday gifts.
And I found myself writing a note to Mary, my former employer, though she didn't send me anything.
Because I had some things to thank her for. Not all of them are in the letter, not the most important one, at least.
I thanked her for giving me the job at a time when I truly needed one. I thanked her for trusting me to care for Sonny for as long as she did. And I thanked her for caring about me, even though she didn't understand me.
Here, I thank her for something else. I thank her for making me realized how blessed I am in terms of family and friends. Because of her actions, I have realized what a gift and blessing all of you are to me. What a blessing my mom and dad are. My grandmother. All of you who know me and trust me despite or because of knowing me.
