Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate and Happy November 28th to those who don't!
I have a lot to be thankful for this year. Primarily, family and friends. Also, a shiny new obsession with Paul Gross.
But, first, family and friends.
Y'all are great. When I feel low, it's a comfort to know that people... chose to care. And all of you who have friended me chose to care about me and my life, for whatever reason. It's amazing.
My family is more stable this year than... well, ever really. I can't ever remember my mom so happy. I'm thankful that she's found someone to love. I'm thankful that my dad is finding peace and happiness in his life. I'm thankful that my brother has grown into quite a cool person (he's spending the holiday playing music for retired persons). I'm thankful that my Grandma respects me. And I am incredibly thankful that she's still with us.
Everyone on here that I've met in real life... you are all very wonderful. Because of y'all, I have some great memories of spending time with people who share my interests.
I'm thankful that I have people that I care about. It's the people that matter most, really. And for a while, I was all pulled in on myself and I didn't really want to see anyone else, I just wanted them to see me, without ever taking that first step. I still have a long way to go, but I have more for me now than I have for a long while.
I'm exceedingly grateful that, in the week where I lose a crappy job, I have the potential to get a new one. That's coolness.
I'm very happy that, today, I will get to spend time with first my family and then my friends.
Over the past year, I've grown and I've learned a lot about life. I'm extremely thankful that I'm here to learn those lessons. I'm thankful for every day, no matter no hard it might have been, because every day was needed to make me who I am.
I'm thankful to the Creator for giving us this experience that is life. On this planet we call home.
And I'm thankful to Paul Gross for introducing me to curling. Very pretty. Graceful. Definitely my favorite sport.
