re beuatiful song, i checked the zip (it was ok) then deleted the uploaded version and replaced it. Link should still work as is. I have no other ideas. Let me know if anyone else reports a problem with it.

Oh, this is just beautiful. I didn't know what to expect when I started it up, but it quickly became clear what story you were telling with it, and I think you did it very well. Thank you so much for sharing it! There were parts that made me tear up and parts that made me smile. :-)

I'm really glad that the story worked for you -- it's one of those songs where my heart kinda tightened for a moment and I went, "hey, I know what this song is about. This song is about Buffy and Riley, and how she really did try." Because she did and I missed that so completely the first time through season four. And he made her smile and nervous in really sweet ways that I didn't notice at the time. And the ghost of Angel really does linger so, for Buffy, and it just kinda breaks my heart, because I love her so much.

I didn't realize that Riley was kinda neat until after he was gone. It's funny that in rewatching, I see all this sweetness to him that I never paid attention to at the time. He was more complicated and more real that I gave him credit for at the time.

And yeah, Angel leaves an awful big shadow for any guy to deal with. He's an Epic First Love. Riley wanted to be Buffy's Epic, but you can really only have one of those, or at least, Buffy only could have one. You can't compete with that, can only hope to be another, a different, kind of love that's just as deep.

I know what you mean -- I hate Angel for making Buffy cry, but I love him for making her completely light up. The depth of passion made the pain all the deeper. And also, as you point out, Angel really does pay for the pain he causes.

And yes, I was boggled when I realized that I was thinking very much like a B/R shipper in the making of the vid. I thought they were sweet and that the kisses were actually pretty hot. I was pretty surprised to realize this. Before the making of the vid, I'd had B/R classified as 'boring' in my head, and then I realized that it was a lot more complicated. And then I wanted to hug Buffy and Riley because of the pain in store for them in the future (though they both got their respective peaces, in the end).

Oh, I love this vid -- I used to dislike Riley then I rewatched season 4 and even though I still find him bland he wasn't as bad as I thought he was and I began to like him with Buffy. And Buffy really did try with Riley, she tried her best but things just keep getting in the way (Angel, her mom's health, Glory, Dawn).

I loved the transition everytime the song goes: 'when it comes to being lucky he's cursed/when it comes to lovin' me he's worst' and it cuts to Angel and its so true he's curse, so very cursed in hurting the people he loves the most no matter how hard he tries not to.

I hurt for all of them so much.

I, too, was not a big Riley fan the first time I watched season four. It's only with time that I've come to appreciate him. And, yeah, Buffy tried really, really hard with Riley. She did want things to work with him, have an uncursed love life.

I've always thought this was the perfect Buffy/Riley song and am so glad to see someone has vid to it. I'm a die-hard BAngel girl and I wanted to cry during the first chorus when it said "he's cursed". (poor angel).
I think you did a very nice job! The clips flowed well with the music. I also loved the overlays you used during 1:03 to 1:08. They played very nicely with the guitar strums.

Interestingly (or possibly only to me), I actually don't ship either B/A or B/R! I actually ship B/X. But when I heard this song, I just immediately thought of the Buffy/Riley relationship and all the Angel baggage tied up in it.
