So... I hear that JC changed his hair.
Feb. 12th, 2003 03:40 pmThat's actually about all I know about it. If that. That may, in fact, be wrong. I am sadly out of the male vocal group loop (respect comes one phrase at a time, yo).
After rewatching last night's shows, Buffy lost a few points and Smallville... still really ruled.
I never believed those people who said that Buffy would choose Spike over Xander, when push came to shove.
I was wrong.
Jane hates me. Well, she did give me shirtless Xander, whom I embrace and adore and do not consider puffy in any way. But other than that... and the cool Principalness... and the Andrew/Jon thing. And Xander's actual bits. His acting bits... not, you know. Other bits.
But dude.
Stabbed human.
Knocked around superpowered vampire.
Who needs help?
Principal Wood was right to look all disappointed in Buffy. I was. And... you know, I don't think that she's ever truly disappointed me before. I could always understand her, before.
But I just don't get her now.
I miss the Buffy in my icon, who was hesitant and unsure and really wanted her friends to still be her friends. Not the Buffy who takes them for granted.

Date: 2003-02-12 06:16 pm (UTC)Xander had some good acting this week.
How did she put it when Spike threatened to tell her friends about him and her? Something like, "You know what? I tried to kill my friends last week, and they forgave me. Sleeping with you? I'm thinking that's not going to be such a big deal." Let's hope she doesn't push them too far with taking them for granted.

I wonder if Buffy thinks that she's still a good friend.

Date: 2003-02-13 03:52 am (UTC)Damnit! YES! For six years I identified with, defended, moped over, and adored Buffy, the character and the show. This year? My icon is *ANYA* now for heaven's sake, and I've rewatched almost all the Angels and perhaps one of the Buffies. Buffy saddens me. She has moments, but...I miss that old girl. And actors with energy. And plots with...I'll stop now. There is good this year, there is good, it will get better *chants*

Date: 2003-02-13 08:59 pm (UTC)And I've been fighting this feeling. All 'it has a purpose'. All 'they still care'. But now, I don't even care. I... Xander and Willow were her first friends in Sunnydale and she blew both of them off tonight for Spike.
