Summary: Leto and Ghanima's wedding.
Notes: Wedding is book canon that isn't mentioned in the miniseries. I'm using the ages for the twins from the miniseries.
Politics
The wedding ceremony for the Atreides twins was lavish, fitting for an Emperor and his consort. Everything was beautiful and everyone was... well, actually, no one seemed to be particularly happy about the wedding.
Farad'n glanced over at Ghanima and corrected himself. No one but the twins seemed pleased about the wedding.
Ghanima had taken him aside earlier to explain everything, but he still didn't really understand. Didn't want to understand.
She would have his children, but they were to have the Atreides name and he would never be allowed to claim them for his own. And tonight... tonight would be her wedding night alone and he would not share her bed.
And though he would go to her bed a virgin, she would not come to his as one.
At the end of the ceremony, Leto kissed Ghanima lightly on the lips. Her smile was brighter than the Arrakis sun.
And Farad'n knew himself to be a fool for falling in love with her.
