In this week's
wednesday100, the challenge was to write about an ending.
I Take Thee
Gently running her hand across the top of her suitcase, Helen glanced up into the bureau mirror.
Her cheeks were slightly flushed, nothing that couldn't be attributed to being newly married. But her eyes... she'd have to be careful about keeping her eyes from betraying her. She wasn't married to an idiot.
God, she'd married Lex.
For better or for worse, in sickness or in health, 'til death do us part.
Until death.
Helen smoothed down the front of her dress, grabbed the suitcase, and pulled her gaze away from her reflection.
She had to stay focused.
Lex was waiting.
