Oh, and I really enjoyed Dawson's Creek tonight. And I may be the only person in the world who doesn't hate Joey's hair.
Great teaser. I feel suitably teased.
I enjoy how the previously just went into the episode. They've done that before on Angel and I always like it.
Hee! Love Lilah.
"It's a lie."
"No, it's a Lilah."
Hee.
"This is the offer of a lifetime."
Music stops.
"Just... not mine."
I hope that we get lots of Connor in the episode. He wasn't in the trailer at all.
Hee! Silence! Love it. Everyone gets a moment of silent thought. Okay, now it's just funny.
Hee! Paperclips!
Lilah was amazing.
Connor!
*whimpers*
Connor.
Connor has issues. Ouch.
"Loved one?"
"Figure of speech."
Hee! Fred! Limo plans! Also, threesome. Just suggesting.
Hee! Lorne was waiting!
Whoo! Lilah looks hot.
"Oh, you're so cynical. This is gonna work out great."
God, Lilah is just brilliant.
Knocks(Nox) is Holden! I think.
*dies*
Hee! Love Wesley. He punched out his guy!
Necrotempered glass? Neat.
Hee. She quoted from him at the beginning of the season.
Hmm. He found out that Buffy needs help.
Connor! On a one-man beating people up thing!
That's horrible.
I mean, you'd think they could have had a better shot of him frozen at the end.
Or, maybe Connor has just lost his mind. Ouch. Issues.
Love that Wes is just beating people up and looking for stuff on his own.
Lilah!
God. Connor. That poor boy.
"You can't be saved by a lie. You can't be saved at all."
What did he do to Connor?
I'm fucking crying here, people. Please tell me that he isn't dead.
He didn't kill him.
*breathes*
Oh, thank god. Unless, he did and he's going to hell or something to see him.
What the?
"Who's Connor?"
They don't remember?
They made him normal.
And I'm crying again. They made him... happy. With a normal family and a positive future.
God, I haven't cried this much for a tv show since... not ever. Not The Body or The Gift. And it's mixed happy and sad.
They gave Connor a home.
He was smiling and joking around and... happy. Normal-type happy.
"Love is sacrifice." Angel sacrificed having his son to give his son happiness. That's love.
And I think the reason that it worked for me is that I can't see any way to make it better for Connor. Connor had nothing to hold onto. Everything is a lie but death. There's no salvation. He didn't have memory of a mother's love. His father-figure loved vengence more than Connor. Cordy just used him. He had nothing to hold onto and he couldn't believe that love existed.
I think that if they renew it, Connor will be back. He'll find out the truth. And maybe it'll be horrible. But if he keeps the memory of his 'new' family, he'll have some grounding, though we may think that it's false. Is it? If it's a Dawn situation, then it's only false if that is. Which some people believe.
Maybe Angel chose wrong. But he chose out of love.
If they end up not renewing Angel, this was a good place to leave it.
