Even if there were no other reason to like this year's Buffy, I would love it because my mom has gotten emotionally involved. She started watching it with me at the beginning of this season and got hooked. She's even willing to watch commercials in order to see Buffy on Tuesday night.

She's excited about what's going to happen next. She's willing to argue with me about aspects of the show. She's watched a few episodes in other seasons, but never got attached before this season.

So, even if I hated the show this year, which I don't, it would be worth watching in order to share it with my mom.
