Being eaten alive by RPGs

Not only am I now participating in an rpg (
btvsatsrpsrpg), I'm also following both
nocturne_alley and
the_second_war (both HP rpgs). They're far too fascinating to ignore.
The last time I really role played was... high school. And that was D&D, which is a whole different feel. Oddly enough, real person slash rpgs are sadly lacking in random monster encounters.
And, of course, in D&D, you play an original character. It's easy to stay in character when you're making it all up.
It's all so much fun. That I remember right.
