butterflyThis is something that actually occurred to me while watching the Pylea arc.
Angel's words in the cave (Through the Looking Glass) mirror what Nina says on the table. Both convinced that they can never go back to the people they care about. And Angel gets drawn away from hurting the ones he loves by Fred, just as Angel later draws away Nina from her niece. And the vibe feels similar. Just... no wonder Angel can identify with her, yeah?
I love seeing later seasons mirror earlier ones, to show us the difference that the years have made.
