Talking about promos -
Oct. 18th, 2003 11:30 amThey never show you an accurate picture of things. Especially not on the WB.
Anyway, I know nothing because I'm not spoiled. I just watch the promos.
From the way the promo for Unleashed was, I was expecting way more 'romance' than we got. We saw the Gunn and Angel exchange about Nina in the promo, but utterly without context - I was expecting it to come earlier in the episode, and was very pleasantly surprised by the way any meaning in it was punctured by Wes' words and look.
And from the way the promo for Extinction was, there was no gay hooker. Looked like Van did all the attacking. No Gill-Boy at all. There's no way we could have guessed that Lana would be on the bad guy's side for quite a while in the episode and that it was more than just another 'stalking Lana' ep.
The title for next week's episode of Smallville is Slumber and we see two hard-to-believe things in the promo - the Clana skinny-dip and Lex threatening Clark (which he's only done in the past when he was under the control of mutants).
Next week's promo for Angel specifically states that Spike sees creepy dead people and is being pulled into Hell. I would like to point out that Angel is a dead people. Just as the First could appear as Buffy, I would not be shocked to see an Angel that is not Angel. So that Angel saying, "Some people can't be saved." and "Welcome to Hell." may not be our Angel, yes?
