First, to
teleute12:
You are the most amazing person in the universe. No! In anywhere.
The quality of the episode is like dvd quality (and the word 'duh' comes to mind). I could just die. While praising you. Re: iconage - I have around ten-twenty possibilities that I'm currently making icons of. Will let you know when they're ready for you to choose from.
I have now seen Phoenix. I think that I'm just a little giddy.
Clark's jacket was ripped by the fall. I could see red even before the throw. Not that I'm happy about finding an error in Omar's recap. I mean, it's not like he's Strega (oh, her recaps do amuse me, which they're supposed to, but I don't take them seriously even on the level of a recap, which I think that I'm supposed to). But I like that the episode was consistent with the ripping.
Hmm. As far as I can tell, dad didn't move an inch during Clark's punch. Which means that Clark chose to destroy the ring. Which makes me all kinds of happy.
It's amazing how much Tom Welling has grown as an actor. Tom (and David B. before him) show that working hard can make you a better actor. Both of them had potential from the beginning, and over time, have learned how to use it. It's a pretty thing (much like the guys themselves).
Wow, Jonathon really is a drama queen. Martha and Clark are having this beautiful mother&son moment (his smile when he hugged her! Eee!) and the man collapsed onto a couch. Annette doesn't get enough to do as it is! Stop hogging the screen time, Schneider!
Gah. MR is such an amazing actor. He's just absolutely perfect as Lex. He always does manage to breathe life into characters that could too easily be played as two-dimensional (Adam/Adina, for another example)
And how much does it creep me out that Jonathon has some kryptonite just lying around in a box? A lot.
Kristen has gotten better at the acting. Yet Lana is still so annoying and passive-aggressive that I can't really appreciate it much.
My take on Threatening!Clark - he was putting on a mask to fool the villain, liked the feeling, and was disturbed that he liked it.
re: Lex's line about Clark's expression
It actually didn't seem at all homoerotic to me. He was joking about how incredibly shocked Clark looked.
MR is such an incredible actor. "Guess you had to be there." Such a fantastic delivery of what could have been just an ordinary line.
Fully support the use of White Flag for the ending Clana scene. I adore the song, but it's about a pathetic and obsessive person who can't admit that they need to let go. It's so Lana.
