Because I'm so not going to get to see it before it reruns and I'd like to hear what happened before I see the next episode.

Hopefully, there will be spoilers for Phoenix in the comments.

Clark's Story...

Date: 2003-10-12 11:01 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] xander-harris.livejournal.com
To sum up the last ep...we last saw a Superpowered Johnothan Kent fall out of window with Clark.

They hit the ground and went through into some kind of sub-basement or soemthing. They fought and Clark had his dad against the wall.

"If I rasied a son to kill, then kill!"

Clark punched, Johnothan doged and broke the Red Kryptonite ring into pieces. Johnothan passed out and Clark took him home.

We find out the thing he stole from Lionel Luthor...his blood sample Dr. Bryce took from him.

Morgan Edge tracked down Clark and told him to give him what he asked for. Clark said no and used his powers to scare him away.

He thanked Chloe for being a good friend. Tried to talk to Lana, ended in her going into back room crying.

Clark went home and his parents were being held hostage by Morgan Edge. He had a gun at his mom and on other side of barn, his dad with gun at him. Clark went to the tool box and pulled out meteor fragment that Johnothan kept in there he used it to put his blood inside a jar. Morgan asked what that was about and he said thats the package.

He hit the ground due to meteor and losing blood. Morgan put the metor on his chest and duct taped it, along with his hands and legs and tosses him into the back of the Kent's moving truck. He was going to take him to Lionel Luthor.

Morgan was going to sell back the blood he stole, but figured he'd make more if he brought in Clark.

So they went to the docks in Metropolis. Clark was in the back while Edge talked to Lionel. Clark broke a mirror in the back of the truck and cut himself free and threw meteorite fragment.

When he was better, he saw a propane tank. As Lionel and Morgan Edge walked to the truck, Clark used his powers to blow it and the truck up.

Big shoot out ensued and Morgan fell into the river. (and you KNOW he'll be back)

Forgot one small thing...As Clark was putting the "KENT FARM" sign back up something bad happened.

Clark and Lana broke up! *cries*

He's got secrets, and he doesn't want to hurt her like he did.

"I spent all last year trying to be the kind of man you could love..."

as she left she said..."You didn't have to try."

Were they technically dating?

I understand why he'd do that. It's like... the end of Spider-Man, yeah?

Sure they weren't TECHINCALLY dating. But yes, much like the Spider-Man ending.

*whispers* which part two comes out on July fourth weekend.

Or so the rumors say.

Lex's Story...

Date: 2003-10-12 11:13 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] xander-harris.livejournal.com
This all happened as in between scenes of everything I gave you on Clark.

Lex went to Lionel thinking it was him that killed him. They shared banter as they always do. And he went find Helen Bryce.

We found out the real story of what happened. We visually saw the story she told at Lex's "funeral." Plane going down, only one parachute. Lex decides to try to take her on a second honeymoon.

Then we get the REAL story. He was drugged by his champagne. Helen had his pilot killed and brought her own aboard. He dropped her off on a nearby island and the pilot took Lex back up in the air and jumped out with the only parachute.

He tired to do the same thing to her, but she jumped out of the plane while he was with the pilot.

He went see his father again and decided he had lots to learn from him and he wants to work for him.

Lex then went see Clark's family. He bought the farm and put it under their name. Johnothan said he'd figure a way to pay him back, but Lex just wants to be part of their family.

Pretty much the gist. Also...next week? Clark gets shot with Kryptonite bullet.

No problem. I know if I missed "Smallville" and it didn't tape I'd want details.

You shall never be deprived if you miss. I watch every week.

So if you miss...you'll get the details.

Phoenix (in a nutshell) -- Papa Kent grapples with Clark a little on the Luthor Corp property until he smashes his ring against a pole. His disgusting looking scar goes away, and they both return to Smallville. Lex returns to Metropolis to confront his father -- he was like, "why did you try to kill me, father?" And, of course, MB was like, "son, I didn't. Did you hear what store your wife came up with, though?" And then he tells Lex how Helen said that Lex offered her the last parachute. Lex goes to confront Helen, and she is like all, "Lex! I never gave up hope! I knew you were alive!" Then she explains that she couldn't wake up Lex in the plane, so she just jumped without him climbing her "survival instincts" took over. Lex seems to buy the story for the time being. Clark's blood was in the package he was supposed to steal from Luthor Corp. So, they get rid of the blood. Clark spends a lot of the episode apologizing -- his parents, Chloe, Lana and so forth. Morgan Edge (Rutger Hauer) is really miffed at Clark for not coming through with the package. He goes to Smallville to intimidate him. Clark's like, "whatever." And rips off his car door. Papa Luthor has an inkling that it was Morgan who had his sample stolen, and tells the crime lord if he doesn't return it, he will blackmail him -- I guess he has evidence of Edge committing murder. This really motivates Morgan who then ties up Clark's parents in the barn threatening to kill them if Clark doesn't come up with the blood. Clark (stupidly) uses a piece of kryptonite rock (right in front of everyone) and cuts his arm and gives Morgan his blood. Morgan takes the sample to the docks (don't ask me where the docks are in the middle of Kansas) and it checks out fine with Papa Luthor. Morgan offers him "the source" (Clark) and Papa Luthor is very interested. He has his lackeys tape a piece of kryptonite to Clark and then put him in the moving van to give to Papa Luthor. Meanwhile, Clark's parents and Lana are still being held hostage. Lana decides to go "Karate Kid" on the bad guys, and ends up killing one as she kicks him against a pitchfork. As Clark arrives at the docks, he frees himself from the kryptonite and his bonds, and uses his heat vision to blow up the moving van. Lionel believes it is a doublecross, and a shooting battle commences between Edge's and Luthor's forces. Morgan ends up shot and in the water. Clark, of course, escapes. Meanwhile, Lex offers Helen a second chance. They go on a plane to their honeymoon. Lex confronts her with evidence of her betrayal. He knows she landed down in St. Croix, and that she paid the pilot. At first, Helen pretends to be innocent, but then, she pulls out a gun on Lex. They end up shooting the pilot (accidentally) in the struggle. Lex finally wrestles the gun away from Helen and goes to the front to land the plane. The plane door is wide open and Helen is nowhere to be seen. After Lex comes back, he buys the Kent Farm and tells them to keep it. He says how the Kent's compass helped him so much when he was stranded on the island. At the end, Lana's like, "Clark, let's get together." Clark's like, "all I do is hurt you Lana. I can't do that anymore. So, no." Then, Lana rides off on her stupid horse, all woebegone. The End.

Yay! Another perspective! The more sides the better!

Damn, Lana sounds like she was annoying. The rest sounds very cool, though.

I don't know if anyone's offered this (I haven't gotten a chance to watch the episode yet), but I downloaded a copy, and I could burn you a data CD or VCD if you wanted. It'd probably be more fun than just reading about it.

If VCD works on a standard DVD plays (which is what I think it does, though I may be wrong), then I'm good.
