Life stuff (and a new icon)

Have most definitely lost weight, in the range of 20ish pounds.
You know, back when I actually tried to lose weight, I didn't lose any at all. And now that I'm not and that no one's pressuring me to, I am. Huh.
I actually had breakfast of a sort this morning. Well, sixteen ounces of orange juice and a six-inch meatball sub. Normally, I don't eat at all until 6pm-ish. So, that's a good change. And there's a good chance that I'll keep doing this when I go to class, which means that I'll be eating in the morning three days out of the week.
My first class went well. I haven't been to college for quite a while and I haven't been to school in order to actually learn since... well, I think I stopped going for that reason sophomore year in high school.
But I'm so excited about this class. And it's Math, which never gets me excited but. It's school. It's pure learning and new things and people and all of that.
I used to feel this way about school up 'til my sophomore year, when it all started going pear-shaped lifewise. So feeling this way is a good sign.
I have an assignment! Learning! Work! Eee! Class!
And in news of the 'oops' variety, I found an old letter which indicated that I was supposed to on-call for jury duty back in the beginning of this month. Well, um, they must not have needed me, since I haven't been charged of contempt of court just yet. And I really need to keep better track of these things.

Date: 2003-09-29 01:31 pm (UTC)(FYI - I'm off next Sunday. I wouldn't be able to spend the night, since I have class in the morning, but I would be able to come over. Are you free?)

Date: 2003-09-29 02:11 pm (UTC)That's been the biggest pain for me for the past 6-7 months. I lose weight so I go get a size smaller and then those are too big a few months later so I have to go back. All my shirts are ill-fitting; I look like a vagrant with all these baggy T-shirts. =/
And it is expensive. I've been eyeing the Goodwill stores but once I get to one, I start thinking, "Someone else wore these pants... And there's no telling what they've done in them..." Especially guys' pants. Ew...
