Thoughts on Destiny - Sneaky Arcs
Nov. 20th, 2003 02:27 amAs it turns out, anything to do with Spike was arc-y. Ditto Eve, who has been given the inside scoop on Angel's emotions by the man himself.
I love my guys. Joss rocks.
Now, do we have any proof that Eve has lied? She's always so incredibly ambivalent that I'm pretty sure she hasn't. Which may mean that this isn't a lie either:
"I'm not the bad guy here."
Wesley speculated in the last episode that whoever sent the robots was actually working to help rid the world of evil. The aftermath of that conveniently got Wesley out of the way so that Eve could bring back Sirk and use him. I'm not the only person speculating that the robots are connected to Lindsey and Eve.
In fact, I'd say the likehood of that depends on whether or not ME can work out contracts with Stephanie (I do hope they can. I may never have liked Lilah as much as Lindsey, but I do like her quite a bit).
Bringing down Wolfram and Hart sounds like something Lindsey would welcome the chance to do. And if it meant taking down Angel, well, that's just a nice, juicy bonus. Especially since I'm sure he knows the entire story of Connor. Including that bit where Darla staked herself.
Whatever they're doing, it's not what the Senior Partners want. That much is certain.
I'm looking forward to finding out more.
How long is it until we get a new episode, again?

Date: 2003-11-20 05:44 am (UTC)I think it sounds like a cool idea. Plus, I don't like the idea of Lindsey having another change of heart off-screen. Makes much more sense for him to be all two birds-one stone about Angel and Wolfram and Hart (because even good Lindsey wouldn't mind seeing Angel dust in the wind).
And I wouldn't mind Eve being good-ish.
And all through Angel's last scene, I kept longing for Wes to show up, because he could have helped more than Gunn did.
On a different note, I, like Angel, totally expected him to kick Spike's ass. Like Angel, I just assumed that Angel was the better vamp. Because... he's Angel, yo. Heh. It's good that he's gotten a bit of a set-down, though. He needs to get shaken out of where he is.

Date: 2003-11-20 07:42 pm (UTC)It's so exciting to *want* something for a Mutant Enemy show again that has nothing to do with trying to prevent something I *don't* want. And here's what I want: I want Lindsey to be playing his own game. What side he's playing it for I don't care (though my unspoiled instincts at this point are telling me that Eve was telling the truth there). But I want him to be playing his own game, and loving every minute of it.
I mean, the guy's covered his entire self and living space (was that Wesley's old apartment set, by the way?) with runes. He's protecting himself from *something*.
