Season Two Angel thought:

It always amuses me how off Lilah is with Darla. Lilah has absolutely no clue how to act around Darla. She talks down to Darla, guesses things that are just odd, and just always seems a bit off-balance.

She keeps trying to connect to Darla, because Darla's a big piece in the big game that W&H plays with Angel, but she never manages it.

And wow, you know, W&H have succeeded in their plans for Angel - he's on their side. And he's dark. And he isn't connected to the Powers anymore. It was foretold that W&H would sever his connection to the Powers. And they did, through bringing back Darla, who then had Connor with Angel. Of course, if the Powers that talked to Angel were always Jasmine, one wonders if the severing was a bad thing.

Hmm.

I love Angel.

Yep. He's right where they want him. A big, dark tiger by the tail. Problem is if he turns around and bites their heads off.

Oh, yeah. To paraphrase Buffy, if they're that concerned about where he is and what he's doing? Then he can hurt them. Badly. The fact that they keep trying to control shows that he can damage them.
