I've now seen Troy. I really only have one thing to say at the moment.
I really liked Paris. And it wasn't a case of liking the actor -- I like Brad Pitt just fine and was still thrilled to see Achilles die. I just... liked Paris. His attempts at bravery, his faith in his brother, his fear of dying, his love for Helen, his determination to bring down his brother's killer. I felt for him and I was very happy that he lived.

Oh! I liked Commodus, too. That's actually the movie that started my huge love for Joaquin Phoenix. And I completely agree. People can move beyond what they've been taught but it's hard and rare.
