I was just so happy to find a picture that was so perfect. Daniel looks so military in it, providing the proper dissonance with the words. I really wanted one with him firing one of the P90's, and he's not only in the green camo, he's wearing the bandana (I adore the bandana).

I'm definitely with the Daniel love, but if you want to see what so-called civilian contractors are like, check out this. Daniel's respect for life and ability to think about the ramifications of his actions makes him the opposite of these mercenaries.

It is a beautiful icon, but civilian contractors are the singlemost threat to world peace today. Not something I find very funny.

Are civilian contractors and civilian consultants the same thing? Hmm. They don't sound like the same thing, just from what the words mean.

But I only know as much about the military as the next person who kinda avoids any info on it.

At this point, yep they are the same thing. The government is trying to hide their private army that exists in the grey area of international (not to mention US) law. That is one of the problems with them, they give a bad name to legitimate consultants. They taint all civilian contact with the military.

It's still a beautiful icon and most don't know the nasties about the US military.
