Poll: US Generation?

I'm posting this because that book I'm reading has made me curious about the US generational line-up reading my journal. Please only respond if you're a US Citizen, as I haven't read anything on generational theories in other counties (I highly suspect the patterns are similar -- if you know of any book out there that talks about generational theory, I'd love to know about it.).

I'm technically a boomer (born in '60) but I've always identified with the generation younger than me instead. I'm just a freak, I guess!

Some of it depends on your parents -- if your parents were ahead of the curve, you may have been raised more like a 13er than a Boom. Also, there are always people who don't feel 'in step' with their generation.

Actually, it's both because of that and because y'all are the 13th generation to be United States citizens (the cycle before that was of colonists and under the rule of the queen).

It's mostly the second thing.

Ha. That's interesting and completely arbitrary :-) First time I've ever heard the term used. I'm actually late 1980 but tend to hang around with and have always tended to identify more with what you're terming "millenial", but we always heard it jokingly referred to as "generation y". Heh.
