Hey, Jeanie -- I got your postcard. Maine looks lovely. Thank you for thinking of me.

I'm currently going full-tilt into Christmas buying -- received some dvds in the mail that I'm gifting out to people. I've gotten some paper already and I'm currently figuring where I'll stash the gifts once they've been wrapped.

My evil plan alternate universe story is getting longer by the minute. Jack is a lot of fun to write and I think that I'm hammering out his sense of humor -- he actually reminds me a bit of Xander, though they definitely still have huge, major differences.

In the area of receiving gifts, I've gotten some things that I did want very much. My mom continues to show that she knows me very well. My aunt and uncle gave me a beautiful silver dragon earrings and necklace set that they picked up when they were in Ireland. I plan on writing all my 'thank-you's on Sunday and mailing them out Monday.

Twenty-one wasn't bad at all. Stargate, VividCon, weekends at jic's. Reminding myself how much I care about the world. Not bad at all.

edit: and I posted my Buffy and Xander essay, Heart and Hand -- Inspiration and Action, to ship_manifesto at precisely 12:01.
