I shall be spending most of today traveling (it's the time changes that get to you!), but by the end of the day, I should be in Chicago. Squee!
So, I've been thinking seriously about a career change. Well, a career acquirement, really, since I've never really considered 'food service' to be a job that I wanted to still have in five-ten years (and I've been there for four+, which is definitely long enough to show stability as a worker).
I was paid to do a slideshow to the national anthem for a conference my mom was putting on and it went rather well. I... really love vidding, so I'm thinking some kind of job in the field of audio-visual manipulation.
Part of the problem (the scary part) is that I've never really looked for a job that I wanted before. I went and got a job because I needed one, but that's different. So, I checked some books out of the library (including 'Fearless Career Change') and shall investigate. And if there is any advice one of the lovely people on my flist could give me, I would welcome it.
