Doctor Who: Confidential
May. 20th, 2007 09:21 amSo, I know a couple of people have stopped watching the Confidentials this season because they got a bit boring. However, the Confidential for The Lazarus Experiment is actually pretty good -- David Tennant (and some others) talks about monsters and creatures (and why the Doctor would prefer not to call them monsters) and is very passionate and sincere (and there are several clips of Rose in the sections with the creatures -- including faceless-Rose, which is interesting -- because she was always so hands-on in dealing with them). And we see David doing one of his own stunts. Really adorable stuff.
And then this week's Confidential has a bit on the history of space craft on DW (which is to say -- clips from old episodes, starting from Hartnell! Tiny clip of Rose dancing with Jack on top of his stolen ship in The Empty Child!). Also, David wearing a partly-unbuttoned shirt as he talks about the time limit and other such things (really, really hot). And there's a bit of character talk! All sorts of good stuff. Also, RTD talks about how there's no such thing as a timeless design and I applaud him, because it's so true.
David Tennant: "But the ultimate design for a space ship's got to be the TARDIS, isn't it? Because it's so mundane. It's so domestic. It's so... wooden, and yet it's more powerful than all the rest. I suppose I was bound to give that answer, wasn't I? But it's true."
( interesting Martha character talk contrast )
Good Confidential, very interesting.
