Apr. 9th, 2005 04:01 amNote to self: No matter how tired you are, do not go several days without checking lj.
I fully plan on responding to comments and such... after I am caught up on lj.
No matter how long that takes.
In other and possibly more serious news, the world is wacky, yeah?
As it is so often, the media's attention is focused on one or two people, ignoring some other pretty horrible things happening. Nothing new there. Depressing, yes. New? Not so much.
Maybe it's because we can understand the death of one person more easily than the death of hundreds. We know how to mourn for the loss of an individual life and even that much can fill a person up to the brim with grief, and thus mourning for so many is an overwhelming thought. It's just... so many people are dying, every second of every day. This world is, quite often, an extremely harsh place.
Eh, whenever I start thinking like this, I start really identifying with Darla with regards to the 'human condition'. This is probably not the best way to look at things. Considering everything that she ends up doing.
I'm glad that it's raining here recently. Makes the grass look greener and... Oregon isn't the same when it isn't raining.
