LotR, Smallville, Angel

Lord of the Rings is one of the few movies that I would watch with just the soundtrack. Sadly, it doesn't have that as an option. Shame. The music is so unutterably perfect and well-done. It'd be nice just to put it on in the background. Then again, it's no bad thing to have the dialogue.

I'm thinking of seeing Return of the King again tonight. It's been a while. I also gave some thought to seeing Big Fish (Ewan!) or Peter Pan (Peter Pan, yo!) but there's this voice in my head that says, "What's the point of going to the theater and not seeing Return?"

I may be the slightest bit obsessed.

I'm watching Lord of the Rings -

In a way - I'm putting it on and forcing myself to do other things, letting it filter in as background. I'm letting it soak into me - no pressure, no thinking, no needing. Just listening and doing.

It's hard - I want to sit down and watch it, to concentrate on it. But this is important for me to do, in a way I can't explain.

Is everything sad going to come untrue?

So, I'm back from my sixth (I think) viewing of Return of the King. The thoughts are mostly random, and mostly about hobbits. And about my thoughts on the book epilogue, as it were.
( *Is* there anyone who hasn't seen it by now? Anyway, spoilers inside. )
