Brought back three old icons (two made by me, one that
jmtorres made a while back. The one that I'm using right now was an icon that I made ages ago.).
Anyway, I'm planning on watching
Epiphany tonight. Kate's last show, yes? I really liked her. But
Angel is all about change. Which is wonderful in a show about a vampire, yes?
But one of the things that I like about Joss Whedon's shows is that they aren't static. They do change. They lose some characters, they add others. They blow up the school, the apartment complex, the town.
Lorne said it best in
Happy Anniversary - "[Life]'s like a song. Now, I can hold a note for a long time... actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music."
ETA: Ah! Angel falls and gasps and grabs his side in the teaser because he was
just impaled the other day. Can't believe that this is the first time I realized that. He wakes up, remembers sleeping with Darla, freaks out, then falls over because his side hurts like someone poked a long sharp thing through it. Okay, I'm glad that that makes sense.
And an interesting note: The night he sleeps with Buffy and loses his soul in a moment of passion, his sheets are red. When he sleeps with Darla in despair and doesn't lose his soul, his sheets are blue. Huh.
Also, in retrospect,
Epiphany is the start of his catering to Cordelia above the others. Hers is the place he visits first. She's the most he's most eager to make amends with. Again with the huh. I'd had no clue that they started his side of the 'ship that early.
