Shakespeare Sonnet LX

Like as the waves make towards the pebbled shore,
So do our minutes hasten to their end;
Each changing place with that which goes before,
In sequent toil all forwards do contend.
Nativity, once in the main of light,
Crawls to maturity, wherewith being crown'd,
Crooked elipses 'gainst his glory fight,
And Time that gave doth now his gift confound.
Time doth transfix the flourish set on youth
And delves the parallels in beauty's brow,
Feeds on the rarities of nature's truth,
And nothing stands but for his scythe to mow:
And yet to times in hope my verse shall stand,
Praising thy worth, despite his cruel hand.

Scott is like Riley!

Buffy saw them the same way.

"He's a nice, solid guy. He makes me happy. And that's what I need right now. Someone I can count on."

That's what she thought Riley was.

"I thought he was dependable."

"I need help, I'll go to someone I can count on."

She was using both of those boys as crutchs and never even knew it.

And they both ended it for the same reason: Buffy wasn't giving her all. Yeah, she was giving all that she could give to them, but it wasn't the Buffy essence.

Trial Runs

Every big thing on Buffy has some kind of 'trial run' before it happens.

So, before Faith, we had Ampata. Before Angelus, we had Hyena!Xander (and the hint of Angelus in School Hard). Before Dawn, we had Superstar. Before Riley, Scott. Before Season Six, When She Was Bad.

Hell, before the show, we had the movie.

Explanations...

I plan to have a paragraph 'explaining' some of my review sections in my review for Welcome to the Hellmouth, and I'd love to have some feedback on how these sound.

Analysis: Now, the analysis section will make connections between various events in the episode, show how it connects with the season as a whole, and show how the episode upholds (or not) Joss' statement that the show is feminist.

B/X moments: This will most likely be my favorite section. This is where I dissect every single B/X moment or mention that appears in each episode. Expect a lot of passion here.

(new section)Foreshadowing: Now, as we all know, Buffy is big on foreshadowing. This section will be where I will point out possible places where this episode foreshadowed events in a later episode. Some of my choices may seem a bit out there, but hey, we're having fun and that's what counts.
