I love how fanfiction.net carefully framed their no actor fic rule to allow for boyband fic.

"Actor stories: stories revolving around the real actors that portrayed fictional roles in tv shows or movies."

They don't say that you can't fic real people, you just can't fic actors. I'm guessing that the enormous popularity of the musician category will keep them from ever banning it.
