It has come to my attention that there is much music(MuchMusic, hee) out there that is very good that I have never heard.
Obviously, this is evil and must be stopped.

So, I'm asking y'all to tell me what you think that I should listen to. Because I only heard Joan Jett because of y'all and now her version of I Love Rock And Roll is one of my favorite chick songs.

Also, I've heard that U2 is good. What would y'all say are their best songs? I've got audiogalaxy, so I should be able to check out most anything.

My kitty is sleeping on my arm. It's hard, typing with just one hand.

Tom Welling is great as Clark Kent. Because he can project that pure *niceness* that CK needs to have. That's the fundamental thing about Superman. It's not just that he has powers, it's that he's a genuinely nice person. He likes and trusts people until they give him a good reason not to.

Dean Cain was great at that, too. Just being able, without saying a word, to seem like the nicest guy you could ever meet.

But yes. That's the most important thing about Superman. Unlike Batman, he's not hiding a tortured past. He's a sweetheart who wants to help.

I remember reading an essay about 'Good', 'Nice', and 'Right'. It was about Discworld characters. The thing about Superman is that he manages to be all three without making people sick with his perfection. He's nice, he's good, and he's generally right, but he's not righteous and he's not annoying.

Just read this at FT and I realized that Lana is modeled off of Britney, probably unintentionally, but it's still there.

To me, Britney isn't the slut that steals everyone's boyfriends but the girl who was super-popular for apparently no real reason except that she was sort of cute, and got away with murder because she'd put on her sweet-lil-thang act.

Ooo. More:
Nah, Britney wasn't the slut who stole boyfriends. Britney was the head cheerleader, whose ambition since 7 was to be head cheerleader, who's kinda dumb and pretty in an unthreatening, Ms Popular way. Pink, as Gustave said, was the cool kid who had a skateboard and did whatever she wanted. Mandy was the smart cute kid. Jessica was the one who was always trying to be all that. And Christina was the one who rubbed their shoes with grease just before a practice, and sauntered in afterwards to take their place.

Downloading some of the music suggestions now. Okay, I'm downloading all of them. Who said that I knew how to pick and choose?

Which Spice Girl Are You?

I think that she's the one with the best voice, so I'm cool with that.
