Went over to my dad's today:

So, Slipstream was a bit obvious. Not a... quality movie, though Sean's character (cocky jerk named Stuart... hmm, where have I seen that before?) was interesting. Sean's a very good actor.

I also finally got around to seeing Van Helsing. That Kate chick has a nice body, as does Hugh. And Faramir was in it! It was nice to see him.

I borrowed my dad's copy of Shanghai Knights to watch the Aidan Gillen scenes. Because I distinctly remember not thinking much of most of the movie when I saw it before. But Aidan's always worth a rewatch.

Aidan Gillen needs to be in far more things. I nearly squeed myself out of my sofa one Christmas when he starred in a Hercule Poirot special - his character being married, funnily enough, to a character whose actress was mostly known for starring in the recent BBC lesbian miniseries based on Sarah Waters' Tipping the Velvet.

He really, really does. He has such presence. I need to find more of his things, actually (bet they're mostly region 2 -- I should look him up on the amazon uk site, probably).
