Stargate Atlantis 1x12 -- The Defiant One

"This is why parents get someone else to teach their kids to drive."
"I am both insulted and touched by that."

Oh, cuteness. The chemistry between Sheppard and McKay really is the show's biggest assest (only just ahead of McKay on his lonesome).

Oh, hey, it's Nyan (SG-1, Season 3, New Ground). Hello, Nyan! Looks like you joined the same Earth relocation program as Narim.

Hee, I love that McKay is all, "This is field work", but then he runs off to catch up with Sheppard. Aw.

Rodney's such a sweetheart to poor, old Nyan. He has nice eyes. Not Jack O'Neill or Daniel Jackson level, but nice.

Hee. The wraith is having a hissy-fit.

I actually said, "Oh, poor baby," when Sheppard was shot. Those two are wonderful, they really are.

I liked the radio/bomb thing. Sheppard is cool.

Oh, poor McKay. And now Nyan's dead. Oh, but McKay is being wonderful. That's nice.

God, those two really are the cutest.

"Now what?"

That was pretty cool.

Battlestar Galactica 1x04 -- Act of Contrition

I love that intro. Fucking cool.

There's some very well done stuff -- oh, and I vote for liking the brief flash of the episode-to-come in the credits.

I really like the little Helo/Caprica bits.

So, that Apollo guy? Pretty attractive. Yep.

I've decided that I like Starbuck. I hadn't been certain last week. Now I am.

Looking forward to next week.

Stargate SG-1 8x12 -- Prometheus Unbound

Hammond just borrowed Jack's bestest toy! Daniel is multi-functional, you know.

Daniel and Jack were oh! so cute in the opener. Jack, especially, with his "I need you here". I really like hearing that.

*pets the pretty Jack/Daniel moment*

Oh! Daniel's smile! He's so adorable! Oh.

I really liked the jacket, but I'm happy without it, too.

Because. Arms.

*sigh*

Oh, this episode is completely about the eye candy and the laughter for me. I'm having much fun.

Is that Pete (whichever DeLouise it is) in those dog commercials?

Oh, Daniel ducked out of the way. Good boy.

Daniel is so pretty when he can't move. Isn't he pretty?

Oh, the brains are completely gone at this point. Sam could pull another Gemini and I wouldn't even notice.

Because! Oh! Daniel. And that's Vala.

"I won't hurt you."
"Thank god."
"Much. I hope."

God, that woman is completely wack, isn't she?

Poor, poor Daniel.

He's so right -- she's a total fruitcake.

I think I like her.

She's crazy yet surprisingly competent. And her attempts to get Daniel onto the same page that she's on are... amusing, even as I wince in sympathy.

Hee! I love Daniel. So much. His little head-crushing of Vala on the camera! So cute!

"You have to let me talk to them."
"No."

I love Daniel. He's so good at... being Daniel. You know?

"Not that there's anything wrong with you guys. That I know of."

Oh, my poor, sweet Daniel. Have I mentioned how I love him? And he's doing a good job rolling with the punches. He's so smart.

*cuddles Daniel*

And dude, Jack is going to be so pissed at Hammond for letting Daniel get kidnapped. You know it's true.

Poor Daniel, with so few options. Hee. She was so happy to see him for that moment. Cute.

And she is really good at the mechnical stuff. Very impressive.

I like her. A lot.

I also watched and enjoyed The Rise and Fall of Joan Girardi.

Oh, hey, it's Nyan (SG-1, Season 3, New Ground). Hello, Nyan!

That's who he was! I knew I recognized him, but I couldn't figure out where from. Have you noticed that he looks like Maybourne? Are the actors related?

Looks like you joined the same Earth relocation program as Narim.

And Lieutenant Elliot.

Is that Pete (whichever DeLouise it is) in those dog commercials?

Yup. That's David DeLuise.

That really was a good episode. I didn't give the positive aspects enough due in my post.

I hadn't. And now I'm slightly disturbed as I realise that it is true.

I can just hear that lecture now. Of course, Jack wouldn't be *quite* brave enough to say it to George directly -- except in the guise of snark -- but Daniel is *so* going to hear about how right Jack was to want to keep his ass on Earth. *g*

Oh, hey, it's Nyan (SG-1, Season 3, New Ground). Hello, Nyan! Looks like you joined the same Earth relocation program as Narim.

At first I was like, hmm. Did they send Nyan to school and give him a new last name before they shoved him through the gate to Atlantis? The re-using of actors is really starting to become funny.

Definitely. And they were having such fun arguing, too (I love how startled they always are when people interrupt their arguments -- rest of the world disappearing much?).

The re-using of actors is really starting to become funny.

Yeah, I think that Nyan tipped them over from stupid to ridiculous.

Oh, cuteness. The chemistry between Sheppard and McKay really is the show's biggest assest (only just ahead of McKay on his lonesome).

I read an interview somewhere where Joe Flanigan compared them to Bob Hope and Bing Crosby in the Road movies, and I just love that analogy. I think that's actually where the show can and should find its niche between SG-1 and BSG - it doesn't have the same team cohesion as the former, and it's not as dramatically character-driven as the latter, but it's got buddy comedy energy to spare. That doesn't really strike me as being a slashy vibe, but I enjoy it tremendously.

*pets the pretty Jack/Daniel moment*

Hee! That really was massively adorable.

They do have a great buddy comedy vibe. And Joe makes good comparisions. I like him better for thinking of Bob Hope and Bing Crosby. Because they were cool.

*rushing past BSG comments, because I still have to watch it*

Nyan! I knew that guy looked familiar, but I couldn't place him at all. Thank you for clearing up the mystery.

Much love for both Atlantis and SG-1 from me this week.

Hee. The second that I saw him, I went, "Dude! That's Nyan." Because I'd liked Nyan immensely. I really enjoyed the way he bonded with Teal'c -- and Teal'c compared him to Daniel, which really made his face stick.

A lot of wonderful little J/D moments this season. *hearts* I especially like how Daniel was all taken aback at Hammond wanting him to come - he's like, "but, I didn't actually *want* to go! I was just having fun bugging Jack, and. Crap."

Oh, I completely agree. It's like in Rising. They both knew that Jack was going to suddenly change his mind, but Daniel has to ask. That's how they work. So cute.

Are those glowy things the same glowy things from the episode of SG-1 one with the glowy things? Cause they even make the same noise.

From Prodigy (a Daniel-less episode notable for the introduction of Hailey and, more importantly, Doctor Lee)? They looked the same.

Hmm. Maybe they're the Furlings.
