I'm just stunned by this whole chapter. It makes perfect sense. Once Obi-Wan quit lying to himself, ignoring that which he didn't want to see or hear, the truth would come out about his feelings for both his former Master and his former Padawan.
Thank you.
A part of him had always known this truth – that once he allowed himself access to his true feelings, he would never be able to ignore them, never be able to push them away.
A powerful line, there, and so true.
This fearless examination of his feelings shows how strong Obi-Wan really is.
*nods* He is a very strong person. He has to endure quite a lot in the saga, but he doesn't let it break him.
Again I must say: You've stunned me with this chapter. Your insights into Obi-Wan's character are amazing.
And the chapter title? Just perfect. We think best in isolation.
Thank you! Obi-Wan is generally my favorite character (there are moments when I love others more, but he's my favorite character on average, definitely), so I'm glad I could give him that.
