Personal: birthday trip to San Fran

So, here I am in San Francisco, at the White Swan Inn, which is neat and homey, as far as hotels go. Nice.

Tomorrow, the plan is to start by seeing Coit Tower (my grandma helped paint some of the murals, though only her then-husband, Frederick Law Olmsted, is credited). We're also going to ride the cable cars, see Fisherman's Wharf and all the tourist-y stuff that my mom never got around to when she was living here.

On Sunday, we're going to be seeing Cirque du Soleil at one.

All in all, an eventful weekend has been planned.
