My head hurts

A headache that has now lasted two days, which is both cruel and unusual. Actually, it's two different headaches that just happened to occur one after the other, but it's still unfair (they're in slightly different places and today's pain was more like being stabbed, while yesterday's was more like being clubbed). I hate my headaches -- along with my eyes, they're the two genetic gifts that I'd really like to return. I can handle everything else just fine, but I'd love to see without correction and I would be thrilled to pieces if I never had to endure another headache.

All of which is to explain why I haven't responded to comments or posted anything of substance today or yesterday.

I'm going to go lie down now.

And hope I feel better in the morning.

Thank you. The pain was gone this morning, but I slept for, like, eleven hours before that happened!

That's more like a migraine. Not everyone gets the flashing lights and nausea (I don't) - have you noticed any patterns in eating certain foods and then getting headaches?

I really sympathise. Just rest lots, and I hope you feel better soon.

My headaches are many and varied. I have had full-blown migraines on occasion, with the works, including throwing up. I also have headaches that are less painful but still incredibly distracting. Some of them are more sensitive to light and sound, while sometimes I can handle all that but I better not move my head too quickly or I'll get a flash of agony.

I went to doctors and such for it all when I was younger and they... were less than helpful. Anything that was strong enough to get rid of the headache had the side effect of me zonking out pretty quickly. So, not so much for the being useful.

Thanks. Honestly, at this point, I'm so used to the headaches that they frustrate me more than anything. Apart from the pain, my brain works at about half-speed during them, and that's incredibly annoying.
