This Year's Model of Humanity

*nodnod* It definitely hurts. The times I've put my fics up on comms like crit_sans_lube, sometimes I open the window with comments and don't have the courage to actually read them for hours. But for me, finding out what needs work is worth the hurt. And even if I don't agree with the crit, it makes me think through my choices, so it still is helpful in that regard, because now I know why I think it works and why it's worth keeping it the way it is; I'm not just doing so because that was the first thing that came into my head.
