If I could magically un-cancel just one show, I think it would be Kings. Because at least with Firefly, we had movie closure. And Sarah Connor had enough warning to have a great finale, even though I would have watched that show for ten years if it had only stayed on that long.

But Kings... ah, it breaks my heart that the story ended where it did. Not right. Not right at all. And I miss Jack. Sharp-edged Jack with all his broken places.

What about y'all? What shows do you feel were cut short the most cruelly?

You said it. KINGS. Even if you divorce it from the modern retelling of King David (which I loved) it hit my functional monarchy kink. I am a political geek and have been dying for a series driven by that. Kings was giving us that and then...yeah

It was a long time ago, but I don't think I ever quite got over the premature cancellation of Eerie, Indiana.

More recently, the early deaths of Firefly (of course), Sarah Connnor Chronicles, My Name Is Earl (which ended on the worst cliffhanger), and the very short-lived Nathan Fillion show nobody but me remembers, Drive, all made me sad.

Right now, I'm focusing all my un-cancel energy on Community, which is technically just going on hiatus, but has no firm return date, and is my very favorite show on TV right now.

I remember "Drive"! I really liked it. Wish we'd been able to find out who won. :(

Wolf Lake - yes! Such an annoying cancellation.

I also mourned the end of "Pushing Daisies" and "Joan of Arcadia". And many others. *sigh*

Yes. They only made 9 episodes, so there were lots of plot threads left hanging.

even knowing from my first episode of TSCC that the show had been cancelled, I still fucking cried after the last one. it had a great finale, but every episode was great, and there was still SO MUCH story to be told. I think that's the one that grieves me the most.

I really loved Jericho as well, but they also had sufficient warning and actually managed to tie up the story in a satisfactory way, so I don't feel quite so bent out of shape about it.

Firefly is just a given.
