Finally all caught up.
Wow! What an ending! Ah, I need another series right now that can't seriously be the end because I need the next story about what Jack's blood did to Rex! Aaaah!
Russell T Davies, you need to make me more epic sci-fi!
That was fantastically done and what a horrible/wonderful tease. Jack isn't alone anymore! That is huge.
Gah. I want RTD to write me awesome, psychologically-intense stories that explore humanity all the time.
Also, Gwen shooting Jack? That was amazing. The connection and just... and, hey, Gwen always gets to have these epic speeches in RTD's Torchwood runs. I love them. And when Jack comes back and Gwen fights Jilly tooth-and-nail so that she can save him - ah, that was really well done.
And, even though he ended up acting on the side of 'greater good', no redemption for Oswald. He goes out as horrifically a monster as he came in. I appreciate that, storytelling-wise.
This mini ended up connecting incredibly strongly with both Waters of Mars and The End of Time - same things, but Torchwood is allowed to get darker and bloodier. "Lived too long" and "no one should have power over life and death".
Fantastic. Not sure whether this or CoE would be my favorites, because I love them both to bits.
