Oh, that scene with Esther and her sister Sarah was all kinds of painful and heartbreaking.
"Follow her to Harkness." Something about Jack, as suspected.
Aw, Gwen is adorable. "Can't we stay here by the sea?"
The plague ship hospital idea is very creepy. Thanks for that, RTD.
"What is it with you - you make everybody around you gay?"
"That's the plan." lol, I ♥ you, Jack.
Heh, Gwen lying to Rhys and telling him how 'horrible' conditions around her are is pretty amusing. Especially as Rhys catches on. "Is that a seagull?"
Jilly got a little more depth in this scene. It's really the first time we've seen below the surface of her patter.
I'm seeing a family theme to this episode, with Esther and her sister and now Rex and his dad. Family that is out of reach, untrusted for one reason or another (and yet we try).
I got the giggles from the undercover Gwen and Jack scene. Adorable. Hee!
Ah, funneling the religious-tinged political energy that is pretty thick in America.
"Don't worry, no one dies." NOT ACTUALLY ALL THAT REASSURING TO THE MAN WHOSE HAND AND EYE YOU'VE CUT OFF.
Unexpected consequences - Esther does something that she feels is necessary (calls social services on her sister) and then hates what it leads to (children being removed from the home). That's probably another theme that can be traced easily in this series.
Ha, Gwen taking off her undercover heels = priceless. I love her.
The scene with the sadistic killer and Rex racing against time was effectively dramatic and allowed much use of blood. And Gwen's frustration at Rex shooting the killer (in the throat) right before he was about to name his employers broke the tension well.
Whoa, they're putting that Tea Party lady in a car crusher. And no one can die. That is sick, Triangle People.
And Gwen's dad is heading to the new overflow camps. Families out of reach.
