Day Eight: Favorite female character in a comedy show

This one was hard because I don't really watch all that many comedy shows. So, I'm going to go old school with Agent 99 from Get Smart. I haven't seen the new movie, so my affection is all about the tv show. 99 was capable, protective, and the most competent agent on the show, while also being a very kind-hearted person.



Day Nine: Favorite female character in a drama show

House is a drama, right? I adored Amber. I still miss Amber. She inspired me to make a video for House, which I have never otherwise felt moved to vid in any way. She was abrasive and manipulative and vulnerable underneath it all. And she used her negative traits in order to protect the people (well, Wilson) that she loved.



Day Ten: Favorite female character in a sci-fi/supernatural show

Rose is one of my favorite fictional characters ever. I love her. Her character has so much depth and growth over the course of her time on the show. She has genuine character flaws (selfishness and jealousy) not pasted-on, meaningless ones, while also having some amazing qualities (compassion and bravery in particular) and her character arc (from yearning shopgirl to romantic heroic leader-type) is fantastic.



Day Eleven: Favorite female character in a children's show

I'm very glad that Liz Sladen came back to reprise Sarah Jane Smith on the New Who and then continued on to The Sarah Jane Adventures. She's much missed.
