butterfly: (Nine with Rose)

Apparently, we're getting Donna back! Yay!

I loved Donna (and this means that we don't have to go over "it's bigger on the inside" again!). Donna grew so much over the course of The Runaway Bride. Plus, she had absolutely no sexual/romantic interest in the Doctor. Plus! She knows about Rose. There is nothing bad here.

I am entirely made of squee at the moment!

Donna! Yay!

I could not be more thrilled! When she looks at him, she sees a slightly scary not!Martian with emotions and flaws! Which is fairly accurate!

I need a Donna icon!

Five is love! He's my second favorite version of the Doctor, right after Tennant's Ten.

I join in the Yay! Donna! side.
I caught the last few minutes of Runaway Bride last night, and I remembered how much I liked her and her "so not impressed" attitude towards the Doctor.
Plus, Martha will be back, which pleases me too.
Now I really need new icons.

Yay, Donna!

And while I'm saying that, Yay Martha! I was thrilled with her progress in tLotTL. It made her make sense. I was happy about that. I'll be pleased to see her again, too, which is also nice. Yay!

But, yes, Donna! I need a Donna icon! I must go on an icon hunt!

Ha! Yes. It's all 'yay' for me. And I liked Donna a lot by the end of TRB. Actually, I think she won me over when she winked at the Doctor at her wedding reception (when she was 'crying').

Even in the first scene, when she's mostly being overwrought, she actually does calm down and just... notice that he's all sad and quiet. "What do you mean, gone? Gone where?"

She was quite a strong, interesting character by the snow scene. I loved that she knew he was leaving. Oh, and when she asks if she'll see him again, he says, "If I'm lucky." Luck! Luck was associated with the Doctor in early S2 -- he's lucky to regrow his hand, if he's 'very, very, very lucky' he'll be able to get home to the TARDIS and Rose in Girl. He was very lucky, back when he was travelling with Rose. And then he lost her and he hasn't had much luck in S3, but Donna coming back. Oh, and him being thrown a life-preserver at the end of tLotTL, mustn't forget that.

Oh, I should not get my hopes up.

Well, no. There's nothing wrong with getting my hopes up. I shan't get my expectations up. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst, as they say.

*nods* I'll always be hoping that the Doctor can find his way to Rose. But as far as the practicality of it - I'm thinking that if BP were to return, or even make an appearance, they'd be promoting the hell out of it rather than keeping it secret.

Indeed. They probably would be all -- "Billie Piper is currently filming her triumphant return to Who!" and talking it up all over the place. BP coming back would make for hella good press.

Donna! Donna was a great character. I'm so glad she's coming back. I'm already wondering what made her change her mind about coming along with him. Oh! I wonder if she's gone travelling to see more of Planet Earth yet.

I wonder what she wears when she's not wearing her wedding dress (or work clothes). Huh. What kind of casual wear does Donna go about in?

Still, yes. Donna!

I KNOW! This is the best possible news (short of Rose coming back *wink*). Hell, you should see me going on over in my journal. I'm trying to throw a drunken party and offering to flash my boobs for beads.

Huh.

*ponder*

Yeah, that's really fine. She's no-bullshit and has no interest in the Doctor, both of which bodes v. well.

Two wonderful qualities about her character, yeah. And she'd grown so much by the end of the episode. I'm curious about where she'll be when he finds her again (or she finds him! Who knows!).

I'm so excited! Ever since I watched the clips of her as Lauren on the Catherine Tate show I've been in love. I'm so glad she is coming back! Now I just want her or the Doctor to say "Am I bovvered?"
