We had a totally full house for the premiere episodes of the season -- [livejournal.com profile] jic and myself, of course, and we also had [livejournal.com profile] vampireborg, [livejournal.com profile] rathanylakan, [livejournal.com profile] scatterglory, [livejournal.com profile] frostfire_17, and two RL friends of [livejournal.com profile] jic. It is so  much fun to watch with fen.

[livejournal.com profile] jic and I started off the evening with an episode of Boston Legal (I love Alan Shore so much!). Then [livejournal.com profile] vampireborg, [livejournal.com profile] frostfire_17, and [livejournal.com profile] scatterglory arrived in time to see a second episode with us. [livejournal.com profile] frostfire_17 is actually the person who convinced me to give Boston Legal a try.

After that, it was time to watch the 'true science' special that was on before the premieres started. [livejournal.com profile] rathanylakan arrived during that, though I was too busy laughing at the things they had Amanda Tapping (who was the host) saying to note the precise time (so over the top, man).

Then, SG-1 started ([livejournal.com profile] jic's two RL friends arrived during the teaser, to be greeted with much shushing).

Stargate: SG-1 10x01 -- Flesh and Blood

I loved it. Flat-out loved it. Loved Daniel, loved Vala, loved Sam and Mitchell and Teal'c and Landry (this last one surprised me, as I was only cool to luke-warm on him last season). The Orici (Vala's kid) actually worked really well for me. And Daniel in the Orii ship! Eee! And Sam! With the faith in the dim hope that Daniel would have survived (because! Yes! He would, if anyone would!). I loved that! Cameron! Sticking a transmitter on Bra'tac! Hating the plan that would end in stupid suicide!

In conclusion, love. Absolute love.

Stargate: Atlantis 3x01 -- No Man's Land

Liked it. Loved Michael. So much. McKay and Ronon were adorable together. Sheppard was great. Elizabeth got to have an interesting storyline and I liked her in it. I loved that Teyla was in charge while Elizabeth was gone. Landry was great. Liked it, though not nearly as much Flesh and Blood.

After Sci-Fi Friday, we watched the premiere of Psych (which aired last Friday), as [livejournal.com profile] frostfire_17 expressed interest. Such a fun show, by the way. Very light-hearted and enjoyable. Lovely banter between the two leads.

All in all, a very enjoyable Friday night.

Ack, I''ve been a yaoi fan too long - I'm parsing your BL for 'Boston Legal' as 'boy's love', which is soft-core m/m pr0n. :D

It's such a funny, well-written show. I adore Alan Shore. He's an amazing actor.

Adria was the creepiest kid ever. I don't know quite what it was about her, but she really freaked me out!

I agree! They did a great job with casting/directing/make-up/acting for the kids.
