Personal life news: my grandma fell last week and broke her hip. She's had surgery but will never drive again. She's currently recovering in a convalescent home.
Signed up for Vividcon last night and woke up to my confirmation notice.

I still haven't heard from family, but in this case, I think that indicates they are OK.

My grandma has always been so tough, so it's weird for her to actually be hurt by something (it is her first broken bone in her entire life). Hope your grandma gets to go home soon.
