Kris Allen debuted a new song last night! That made my awesome birthday present to myself even more amazing that it had already been. The song is called "Leave You Alone" and it's an angsty bluesy number. Really good. You can download a mp3 right here: http://www.mediafire.com/?mmdpbsecla86kxg (thanks to

Kris is very sexy on stage. Lots of shimmying. He does this cover mash-up of "Everybody Wants to Rule the World"/"The Way You Make Me Feel" that is excellent.
Saw him in the lobby after the show and he signed my Adam Lambert fanclub t-shirt and took a picture with me.
I'm still kinda overwhelmed actually. He was spectacular live. He's definitely gotten better since the Idols Live tour that I saw back in summer of 2009.

Alyssa Bernal; the opener. I liked her. She had spirit. Little overwhelmed by her band. Her best songs were her third song, her fifth song (which was a duet), and her sixth song, which had some nice funk to it.

Kris's first song is called "Written All Over My Face".

Second song is a funky, sexy number called "Can't Stay Away".

Most of Kris's band is in this shot (still CSA). In the back is the drummer Ryland, on the left is Cale and on the right is Chris (Torres).

And this would be the member of the band that didn't make it into the previous shot: Andrew.

Third song is called "Red Guitar". It's a solo write of Kris's that got put on his album.

His fourth song is his current single - Alright With Me. It's a great song. Bouncy and fun.

Then he did this new mashup that he started a couple of shows ago - he puts the first verse of "The Way You Make Me Feel" into "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" and he gives the whole thing a growly, romantic and sensual vibe.

He tells us that he wants to rule the world, but he'll never rule the world... however... Portland rules the world.

Then he pulled out the new song. I wonder if he'd decided to do it that day in soundcheck, because it wasn't on the setlist (I got one of the ones he tossed out at the end). They did it instead of Kris's song, "Is It Over". The songs have a bit in common, but "Leave You Alone" (the new song) is both bluesy and the intensity of it edges more toward anger than begging.

He got really into the song. It was fantastic.

Kris telling the crowd to sing during "Live Like We're Dying".

Kris gets close to band member Torres in LLWD.

Kris ended on a cover of "Come Together". Really wonderful rendition of the song.

During this song, he got down from the stage and walked along the narrow open fenced off space in front of the crowd and slapped people's hands and got touched in return.

The entire Kris Allen Band in one shot.

Kris comes over to share a mic with bandmate Cale.
