General: Blood Ties; Other Television

So, the reason that I've been rather uncommunicative is because I've been watching Blood Ties. I've seen all of the available episodes and plan on rewatching them tonight and tomorrow and will have thoughts (to sum up: Henry = Best!Vampire!Ever!(sorry, Angel); Vicki owns my soul; sadly, Doug Witter went back into the closet (I think he didn't quite understand the point of emigrating to Canada); and Tanya Huff's original book series is apparently my idealized fanfic for the show).

Various other television was also watched.

Numb3rs: Amita is doing math again. Huzzah! Also, David/Colby remains my happy place.

Atlantis: Teyla is the goal and the most important person ever -- yes! This is so true. Also, I really loved how easily Sam and Rodney worked together when they had no memory of each other.

Heroes: Decided to stop sucking (though West still needs to disappear). Hurray!

Bones: I love this show so much.

House: This episode felt so different after I knew that Foreman was right all along. Also, I love Chase.

Boston Legal: Lorraine creeps me out. She has been since she was introduced and I really wish that she'd just go away. Denny is making me want to smack him. Alan was great.

Heroes overall was better, but Claire's storyline actually got worse. Can we please be done with West now? I saw an icon the other day that said, "Save the glasses, save the world." I so wish I had thought of it first.

*fails to have her own Heroes icon, uses SG-1 instead*

I'm kinda hoping that West has flown off, never to be seen again, and Claire gets to have a better storyline. Because, yeah, her story last Tuesday was still really bad.

They really, really do. It's neat. It shows that it isn't their intrinsic personalities that conflict.

Glad you liked it. For me, the next couple of episodes after the pilot were a bit slow but then it starts to get really good.

I tried to watch Blood Ties but I couldn't stomach Henry. If the mood strikes you one day could you tell what is it that you like about him? Your meta is usually quite convincing and I wanted to like that show, dammit =)

I'll probably meta about the show later today -- I really fell in love with the characters and I always get bouncy and excited when that happens.

As for Henry... to sum up, I love his humor, his attitude toward his life (generally, with vampires, it's either evil or broody), and the way he interacts with Vicki (their friendship is key to my affection for the show -- they trust each other, amuse each other, and talk about serious topics together).
