The Bourne Ultimatum

First, though, I must share a disturbing thought -- there was a trailer for a movie (I don't remember the title). Tom Cruise is in this movie (sorta looks like a bad guy/antagonist) and... he looks hot. I got so used to him looking crazy! My world is askew.
And now, Bourne was genuinely kick-ass. Truly delightful. I would definitely, whole-heartedly recommend it.
Even the one bad thing that I'd heard about the movie (slight camera shakiness) worked for me. All of the actual content of the movie was just spectacular. Joan Allen and Julia Stiles were magnificant -- loved the pivotal roles that they played. And, of course, there's the fantastic Matt Damon.
The movie had me on the edge of my seat and I was grinning and laughing and cheering at parts. Whenever Jason did something particularly clever, the entire audience was just delighted and made it known. I loved that he managed to reach the 'asset' at the end of the movie ("why didn't you take the shot?" "do you even know why you're supposed to kill me?") and I loved that both Nicky and Landy both made it out of the film intact and in secure positions (adored Nicky's smirk when she heard the news about Jason/David -- lovely. And I found both haircuts on her to be extremely adorable... also, I feel that there's untold Nicky backstory regarding the way she was acting around Jason).
I love that the ghost of Marie was just as strong a presence in this movie as the last one. Unlike other action heroes, Jason Bourne doesn't pick up a new girl every movie -- he fell in love, damnit, and it matters. I love that. I love the way the movie ended as the series began -- with Jason/David in the water, about to start a new phase of his life.
