But I do have odd views of the people that others might interpret as screwing up the characters. I mean, the way I see JC is very bizarre. He's this gorgeous but completely untouchable thing that I can not image slashing. I don't understand it.

And I think that I see a different 'vision' of the whole Justin/Lance thing. Maybe because I didn't know the guys until Lance was already almost out of his awkward phase. I think that a relationship between them would have some incredible possibilities. Lance is getting to be so big now, while Justin became the front man almost immediately. Lance has become a creature of the business and show business world.

He also has this amazing ability to relax on stage. In the MSG DVD, during God Must Have Spent A Little More Time On You, Lance leans against the bar on his elevating thing-y, completely trusting that he won't fall. And while he'll never be a Justin in terms of dancing, he's certainly become extremely good. He has said that he doesn't mind not being a front man, while making himself one by way of On the Line. The boys themselves called him the biggest liar.

And Justin is also fascinating to think about. It's hard to know where he's coming from. He means everything that he said in Pop. There's a lot of passion behind his plea for respect. I'm fairly certain that part of the reason that he shaved his hair was to see if that made the fans leave him.

And the two of them together is a dizzying prospect. First, there's a lot of recent stuff that makes me double think myself and wonder if maybe something could be there. The cross tattoo was the first time that I actually thought that any of my silly thoughts could be more than just that. Lance was the only guy other than Justin who stood up to applaud for Britney at the TCA's. He thanks her in his linear notes. Justin and Britney share the most platonic kiss in the world.

And I'm sure that my slash-colored glasses are blurring my mind and I dismiss it. After all, the guys are all close. Just because Justin licks his lips while staring at Lance's face does not mean that they're together.

I'm not a 'believer'. Not most of the time. But sometimes, I look at pictures and I wonder what the hell the guys were thinking when they took them.

But the reason that I love Justin/Lance fiction so much is because I could see them last if they were a couple in real life. They seem to fit(to me) in ways that would last. Close without being too buddy-buddy. In my mind, they always have the possibility of sweetness but would also have a healthy relationship with fights and differences.

See, wierd.
