I think that's a pretty good description.

Angel can be embarassing - and sometimes endearing through that embarasement, but that's as close as he gets.

Whereas Angelus just makes me want to say 'growl again, baby'

and. um. david is just a cute dorky guy - with a high pitched giggle.
