I believe I said at the time that really, Alicia is the only reason I believe Clark likes girls at all, because they totally had a lovely lovely spark, and I wish they'd kept her around longer than they did.
*nods*
I can see that. His thing with Lana always seemed more about what she represented than about the actual girl -- he barely knew Lana for most of the time that he was 'in love' with her. And his stunned reactions every time that Chloe laid one on him speak for themselves -- he never showed an attraction to her except when he was under the influence in Rush.
But he actually seemed to connect and be attracted to Alicia.
Also? I love that Alicia is Clark's high school girlfriend. Yup, it's Alicia, not Lana - he and Lana never dated in high school. Lana was his first college girlfriend, and I'm really hoping that we'll get an inkling of a Lori Lemaris or something *else* for him before the end of the series, because *way too much importance* has been placed on Lana Lang.
Agreed, though I really like the place that Clark and Lana are at the moment.
