Amy Acker was in Dead in the Water. She did a really good job, too. She called Dean on a lame pick-up line and was very sweet.
But wasn't Amber in fine form last night, and that episode was certainly more enjoyable and more nuanced than the usual run of Supernatural eps.
Amber was marvelous. And I think that Supernatural has been, from the beginning, on an upward curve. The episodes are just consistently getting better, I think.
I only wish I'd caught the first 20 minutes of it (got home late from the office and didn't have enough tape left in the VCR). Did I miss much of Amber, or by catching the final 40 minutes did I pretty much get the gist of it?
If you saw her intro to Sam, you saw her intro. The very beginning was more set-up with the hunter plot (the teaser was a woman getting chased and beheaded by faux-Gunn -- I can't remember his name, but faux-Gunn works well enough, considering his backstory).
