Have discovered a use for Vox!

As I suspected might happen, it will work for writing about movies and shows -- I've been getting a lot of stuff from netflix, but I've been shy about writing about it here, as it doesn't generally suit the flow of my moods. Vox is set up to write about that kind of stuff (it even finds the amazon.com link and the cover for the movie you're talking about!).

So, you can read http://butterfly.vox.com/ if you're interested in what I'm watching that isn't necessarily fannish (I may add books, as well -- now that I finally have a library card for my current county, I've started doing a lot of physical reading again).

Also, I do have one Vox invite left if anyone is interested.

Hi there! You don't know me, but I just ran across some of your work while trying to help track down icon makers who are being hotlinked, etc. Basically, you may want to check out the following link. Yeah, I realized after I commented and went back that there were a whole bunch of yours. When I found the 1st one I stopped looking at the others to come leave you a comment. I was pretty shocked when I realized just how many there were. And you are very welcome. I'm just glad I could find you and help. I can't stand people doing things like this!

It just... it baffles me what they get out of it. I mean, they know that they didn't really make the icons. How can any kind of praise for them feel good in any way?
